Insta360 Ace Pro 2

The Ace Pro 2 pairs a large 0.77-inch sensor with an f/2.6 lens and a 157° field of view. That combination gathers more light than a typical action cam and fits more of the scene into frame, which helps in dim conditions and when you mount the camera close to your body.

The rear screen flips up and measures 2.5 inches at 900 nits. You can see yourself while filming, and the brightness helps in direct sun. A front screen is not included, so self-framing relies entirely on that flip panel.

Resolution tops out at 8K, with 4K available up to 120 fps. The highest frame rate of 240 fps is limited to 1080p in Slow Motion mode, so very smooth slow-motion clips come with a resolution drop.

Bitrate reaches 180 Mbps in H.264 or HEVC, and the camera records 8-bit color with a log profile and HDR video. The log profile gives editors more room to grade, but 8-bit color limits how far footage can be pushed before banding appears.

Stabilization is handled in-camera, and horizon lock keeps the frame level even when the camera rotates. That matters for helmet mounts, handlebars, and handheld walking shots where a tilted horizon is hard to fix later.

The body is waterproof to 12 m without a case and to 60 m with one. It operates from -20 °C to 45 °C, so cold-weather sports are covered. At 184 g with the battery, it stays light enough for chest mounts.

The 1,800 mAh battery is removable, and the claimed runtime of 180 minutes applies only to 1080p24 in Endurance Mode. Runtime at 4K is not published, so plan on shorter sessions at higher resolutions.

There is no built-in storage, but the microSD slot accepts cards up to 1,024 GB. Wi-Fi 5 handles wireless transfers. GPS is not included, and live streaming resolution is not offered, so location overlays and direct streaming are not options here.
