The Osmo Action 5 Pro has a 1/1.3-inch, 40 MP sensor, against 27.6 MP on a 1/1.9-inch sensor in the HERO13 Black and 23.6 MP on a 1/2.3-inch sensor in the HERO9 Black. A larger sensor collects more light, which helps with noise and detail at dusk, indoors and in shade.
Stills follow the same order: 40 MP on the DJI, 27 MP on the HERO13 and 20 MP on the HERO9. All three save RAW photos. The HERO13 has the brightest lens at f/2.5 versus f/2.8 on the DJI, a small light-gathering edge, and a 156-degree view versus 155 degrees.

The HERO13 Black records up to 5K, and its Burst Slo-Mo mode reaches 400 fps at 720p; in continuous recording it tops out at 240 fps, the same as the Osmo Action 5 Pro and the HERO9 Black. The DJI tops out at 4K, while the HERO9 also reaches 5K.
