Nikon Z6III

The Nikon Z6III features a 24.5 MP full-frame partially-stacked CMOS sensor with a readout speed of 14.3 ms. This design helps minimize rolling shutter distortion and powers rapid continuous shooting.

For continuous shooting, the camera reaches 14 fps with the mechanical shutter and up to 60 fps using the electronic shutter, though 60 fps is limited to full-resolution JPEG only while Raw bursts top out at 20 fps and 120 fps uses a DX crop. It also includes a 1 s pre-burst capture duration for Pre-Release Capture, which records JPEG only.

Video creators get a max video resolution of 6K along with internal raw video recording. Supported video codecs include H.264, HEVC, ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes RAW, and N-RAW, all shot at 10-bit video bit depth.

Log profile support is available, offering a video dynamic range of 13 stops for Nikon states "13+ stops" for N-Log in H.265 10-bit at ISO 800. For high-framerate work, 4K video reaches a max frame rate of 120 fps, while the 4K max frame rate for full width is 60 fps. The body also features a full-size HDMI port and a headphone port.

The camera weighs 760 g with dimensions of 138.5 mm in width, 101.5 mm in height, and 74 mm in depth. It features weather sealing that is dust and drip resistant, and a minimum operating temperature of -10 °C.

In-body image stabilization is rated at 8 stops, measured as a CIPA figure with the non-VR NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S at 120mm. The handling setup includes dual memory card slots and a fully articulated 3.2 in rear screen with a resolution of 2.1 M dots, paired with a 5.76 M dot viewfinder at 0.8x magnification.
